► Obama’s presidential candidacy acceptance speech

Very strong, direct, uncovered speech. Personally I can’t shake that feeling that politicians are two well trained to just sell us the pretty face of things. But still, you gotta give it to Obama, he does have a point and a very strong way to say it. I’m just not sure he’ll be able to live up to his equality speech. Hard job ahead.

Whatever the outcome, the US is going through some very very interesting times.

The world is watching.

► CPU vs GPU

In the always good FayerWayer I just came across this kickass video from a conference by the guys from MythBusters to basically explain the differences between a CPU and a GPU but in a very understandable and interesting way.

Or if you prefer just watch it for its beauty (and the ridiculously inmense budget these guys have).

► Blue Planet Run

Blue Planet Run is a project that attempts to raise awareness among the world about the severe problem our planet is going through regarding the issues of drinkable water.

Among its many causes, Blue Planet Run has released a book with over 250 pictres taken by some of the best photographers in the world alongside different figures and information about our current water related problems.

This book, if you want to have it in your hands you can purchase it through Amazon for only $33 USD. However, the good guys at FayerWayer have let everyone know that you can also download legally and for free a high quality PDF copy of the book through here.

A great book. Not only for its social weight, but also for its inmense quality, even design-wise. Each page is noticeably been made with love and concerne about a matter that should be important to us all.

Please download it, or even better buy a printed copy or join the cause at BluePlanetRun.org

► MWM Interviewed at CPLUV

A KDU partner and true inspiration, Matt W. Moore (a.k.a. MWM) is an artist who isn’t afraid to jump from canvas to monitors and viceversa.

With geometrical works with exceptional dynamism, Moore has managed to enter the international market and appear in books, magazines, packaging, textile and various other projects.

This time I’m posting this interview recently made by the guys at ComputerLove, where he speaks about his creative processes and his relationship to the Keystone Design Union.

For more info on MWM be sure to check his website MWMGraphics.com.

Big up Matt!.

► Olympic Medal Count Map

I gotta admit I don’t quite remember where I got this link from ’cause it was a while ago. All because I’ve had some problems lately that are slowly solving, so I’ll be catching up with the content and giving more movement to the blog.

Olympic Medal Count Map is a highly attractive and easy to follow world map created by The New York Times. In this map you’ll see different participating countries represented by circles. These circles vary in size accordingly to the amount of medals won by a given nation. Plus you can also click on any country to see who and in what disciplines the medals were won.

A lovely thing to watch and also to catch up on our sports history.
